1. Controller

2. What the interface is
Through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) interface, AI assistants (e.g. ChatGPT by OpenAI, Claude by Anthropic, Gemini by Google) and other software can search holiday accommodations on ferienhausmiete.de and retrieve details, prices and availability. The interface is read-only: it creates no accounts, sends no inquiries or bookings and processes no payments.
3. What data we process per call
a) Search parameters that the assistant derives from your request and sends to us: region, place or coordinates, travel dates, number of guests, desired amenities, price range, language and, where applicable, a listing number.
b) Technical data of the call: IP address of the calling system (normally a server of the assistant provider, not your device), time, identifier of the calling program (user agent), function called, response status, and an approximate location (country and city) derived from the IP address.
We do not receive your name, e-mail address or contact details, your account with the assistant provider, the content of your conversation with the assistant, or any data beyond the search parameters. The interface sets no cookies, builds no profiles and performs no tracking.
4. Purposes and legal basis
We process the data to answer the request, to operate the interface securely, to limit access per client (rate limiting), to analyse errors and to evaluate usage in aggregated, non-personal form. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing, securing and developing the interface).
5. Recipients
The provider of the assistant you use (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) receives from us only the response to the specific request: accommodation data, prices, availability and links to ferienhausmiete.de – nothing else. Which data the provider itself processes about you and how it transmits your input to us is governed by the provider’s own privacy policy; that transmission is performed by you or the provider, not by us. For server operations we use processors under Art. 28 GDPR. We ourselves do not transfer any data from the interface to third countries.
6. Retention
Search parameters are processed only to answer the request and are not stored beyond that, except within the technical logs. Technical logs (section 3 b, including the search parameters they contain) are deleted after 90 days. Aggregated usage statistics without personal reference are kept indefinitely.
7. Your rights
You have the rights of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) (Art. 21). As we normally only hold the IP address of the assistant provider, we usually cannot identify individual persons (Art. 11 GDPR); in that case please also contact your assistant provider. Complaints may be addressed to the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany, or any other supervisory authority.
